The Thunderbirds opened the scoring just two minutes into the match through an unassisted goal by Julianna Vazquez Valenzuela, setting the tone early. They added two more first-half goals from Mia Abad and Alexis Vogel to take a commanding 3–0 lead. In the second half, Mesa continued to apply pressure and pulled away with four additional goals, including strikes from Nicole Hipps, Jasmin Reyes, Olivia Olance, and Josephine Shinkle. Hipps tallied both a goal and an assist to lead the way, while goalkeeper Ellie Huish stopped three of four shots faced to secure the win.
